On the evening of May 13, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing at request held talks with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice over phone.

Both sides agreed to work together to make sound preparations for the exchange of visits between the heads of the two states this year in a bid to ensure the mutual visits full success. They also exchanged opinions on other issues of common concern.
