On August 28, 2007, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister He Yafei met with a delegation of American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL), which is visiting China at the invitation of All-China Federation of Youth. He expounded China's principled position on developing Sino-U.S. relations and took questions from the U.S. side on China's peaceful development strategy, the building of democracy and legal system, as well as China's policies on relevant key international and regional issues.
