On April 7, 2008, Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo met with a visiting U.S. delegation headed by Richard Holbrooke, Chairman of Asia Society, in Zhongnanhai. Both sides exchanged views on China-U.S. relations and other issues of common concern.

The delegation is visiting China at the invitation of Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
