On the afternoon of September 28, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with Director of the Armenian Presidential Office Artash Tumanyan, who was here in China to attend the 4th meeting of the mixed committee on economy and trade between the Chinese and Armenian governments. Both sides made positive comments on the achievements in the development of bilateral relations and indicated that the two countries would like to tap potentials, strengthen cooperation in economy, trade and other areas and enhance the development level of bilateral relations. Tumanyan reaffirmed that Armenia attaches great importance to its relations with China, unequivocally adheres to the one-China principle and hopes China to play a more active role in the outer Caucasus.

Both sides also exchanged views on the issue of the reform of the UN.
