On September 29, 2004, Li Zhaoxing met with the Foreign Minister of Belarus, Martynov in New York. The two sides exchanged views on such issues as the exchange of high level visits, economic cooperation as well as the reform of the UN. Li expressed that China refer to Belarus as an important partner. The Chinese side appreciates the Belarus side in upholding the one China policy. Martynov noted that Belarus attaches great importance to developing the relationship with China and stands ready to strengthen cooperation with China in all fields.
