Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui Meets with Belarussian Deputy Foreign Minister Gaisenok Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On January 18, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui met with Belarussian Deputy Foreign Minister Viktor Gaisenok, who is here in China for the meeting of the economic and trade cooperation committee between the two governments. Li spoke highly of the results of bilateral cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic ties 15 years ago, saying that the Chinese government attaches importance to the ties with Belarus and deems it China's important partner in East Europe and the Commonwealth of the Independent States (CIS). China is ready to make joint efforts with Belarus to earnestly implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, comprehensively deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and push bilateral ties to a new level, Li said. Gaisenok noted the relationship with China is a priority of Belarus's diplomacy and the Belarussian government adheres to the "one-China" policy and is ready to take the opportunity of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties to strengthen high-level visits, deepen cooperation in all areas and continuously enhance the level of bilateral ties.
