Tang said that during President Hu Jintao's visit to Kazakhstan last year, the heads of state of both countries declared the establishment of strategic partnership. China would like to make joint efforts with Kazakhstan to comprehensively implement various consensuses reached between the leaders of both sides, build up mutual political trust, expand pragmatic cooperation, and continue to strengthen cooperation within multilateral frameworks and consolidate and enrich bilateral strategic partnership. Tang made highly positive comments on Kazakhstan's strong support for China on Taiwan, combating the "three forces" and other questions over the years, indicating that China will continue to resolutely support the efforts of Kazakhstan in safeguarding state independence and sovereignty and developing national economy.
