On September 8, 2006, Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui met with visiting chairman of the Committee on International Affairs and Inter-parliamentary Communication of the Parliament of Uzbekistan at the invitation of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA). Both sides exchanged views on China-Uzbekistan relations, the exchanges between the two parliaments as well as regional and international issues of common concern.
