On November 26, 2006, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui held consultations in Tashkent with Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Solihbaev Anvar Saidovich on bilateral ties, regional situation and other issues. Both sides agreed to comprehensively implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepen pragmatic cooperation in all areas and support each other on major sensitive issues so as to upgrade the overall level of bilateral ties. After the consultations, the two exchanged the instrument of ratification for the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Uzbekistan and signed the certificate for the exchange of the instrument of ratification.
