Li Zhaoxing Holds Talks with His Hungarian Counterpart

On April 18, 2007, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held talks with his Hungarian counterpart Goncz Kinga in Beijing.

During the talks, Li said that China and Hungary have witnessed increasing contacts by leaders of the two countries and deepened political trust since the two countries established friendly partnership of cooperation. The two sides have conducted fruitful cooperation in various fields, maintained close regional exchanges and given mutual support in international organizations, Li said. China speaks highly of Hungary's adherence to the one-China policy, as well as its efforts to develop relations with China and will work with Hungary to push forward bilateral ties continuously, he said.

Goncz Kinga said the Hungarian government highly values the relations with China, and is ready to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of economy, trade, culture, science and technology. She also stressed that Hungary will adhere to the one-China policy.

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional situations and other issues of common concern.
