On June 20, 2007, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui and visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kadyrbek Sarbaev held consultation between the two Foreign Ministries in Beijing. Li made positive comments on the achievements made in bilateral ties since the two countries established diplomatic relations 15 years ago, expressing China's willingness to work with Kyrgyzstan to push for bilateral good-neighborly friendship and cooperation. Li emphasized that China is ready to closely cooperate with Kyrgyzstan in combating the 'three evil forces' including the 'East Turkistan' force to safeguard regional peace and stability. Sarbaev said Kyrgyzstan has always taken relationship with China as a priority of its diplomacy and will adhere to the one-China policy and expand mutually beneficial cooperation with China in all areas. Sarbaev thanked for China's great support and assistance to Kyrgyzstan in preparing the SCO Bishkek summit in the past year, pledging to keep closer cooperation with China within the organization.
