Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui and Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Solihbaev Hold Consultation

On May 8, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui and visiting Uzbek Deputy Foreign Minister Solihbaev Anvar Saidovich held the consultations between the two Foreign Ministries in Beijing.

Li made positive comments on the status quo of bilateral relations in recent years and thanked for the Uzbek side's precious support on major sensitive issues of China's concern. Li said China is ready to further deepen political trust and expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan so as to push bilateral friendly cooperative partnership to one new level after another.

Solihbaev said Uzbekistan gives top priority to ties with China and hopes that both sides will as always offer mutual support on issues of each other's concern, continuously boost cooperation on bilateral occasions and within the SCO and other multilateral frameworks and keep closer communication and coordination between the two Foreign Ministries in a bid to safeguard and promote regional peace, stability and development.
