Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui Attends Launching Ceremony of Chinese Version of Russian President Medvedev's Book

On May 22, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Li Hui attended a launching ceremony of a Chinese version of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's book Russian National Development Issues, and of a special commemorative envelope to mark Medvedev's visit to China, and delivered a speech.

Li said in order to welcome President Medvedev's China visit, Chinese relevant agencies translated and edited the book Russian National Development Issues, a collection of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's speeches, and designed a special commemorative envelope to mark the visit. The publication of the Chinese version is conducive to enhancing Chinese people's understanding of contemporary Russia and to building mutual understanding and traditional friendship between the two peoples. Li said the upcoming visit by Medvedev is of great significance to carrying forward bilateral friendly relations, expressing belief that the visit will surely score fruitful results and inject new vitality into the development of bilateral ties.

Russian Ambassador to China Razov Sergey, Deputy Director-General of State Postal Bureau of China Wang Yuci, President of World Affairs Press Ambassador Gao Shumao and other officials attended and addressed the ceremony.
