Vice Foreign Minister Li Hui Meets with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E. Ibragimov

On April 24, 2009, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Hui met with a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic E. Ibragimov.

During the meeting, Li said currently Sino-Kyrgyz good-neighborly and friendly cooperation enjoys comprehensive and rapid development with close high-level exchanges and deepening political trust. China thanks for Kyrgyzstan's precious support on the issues relating to Taiwan, Tibet and combating "East Turkistan" terrorist forces, said Li. He noted that China will continue joint efforts with Kyrgyzstan to comprehensively implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, enhance the level of mutual trust and enrich bilateral cooperation of mutual benefit in all areas to push bilateral ties to a new level.

E. Ibragimov said Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to developing ties with China and deems it a good neighbor, friend and partner. Kyrgyzstan hopes to further deepen cooperation with China on politics, economy, trade, transportation, humanities and security, keep closer coordination within such multilateral frameworks as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and jointly safeguard and promote regional peace, stability and development.
