Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping Meets with Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Tozik

On April 13, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping met with Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Tozik, who is on a private visit to China.

Cheng said that China attaches great importance to developing relations with Belarus and deems it as a good friend and partner. Currently, both sides enjoy a high degree of mutual political trust with pragmatic cooperation expanding in various fields. China is satisfied with the outcome of development of bilateral relations. China is willing to make concerted efforts with Belarus to promote friendly relations between both sides to a new level. Tozik said China-Belarus relations have witnessed rapid development since the establishment of diplomatic ties 20 years ago. The two sides have cooperated closely in the fields of politics, economy, trade, and international affairs, effectively safeguarding the common interests of both sides. Belarus hopes to further strengthen bilateral strategic cooperation and improve the level of bilateral relations.
