Li Zhaoxing Meets with Foreign Minister of Mozambique

On April 5th, 2004, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met in the Great Hall of the People with Leonardo Simao, Foreign Minister of Mozambique, who was visiting China in company of President Joaquim Alberto Chissano. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and other issues of common interest.

Li Zhaoxing highly appraised the friendly relations of cooperation between the two countries and appreciated the adherence of the Mozambique government to the one-China policy. Li Zhaoxing said China would like to further enhance cooperation with Mozambique in African and international affairs in a bid to push forward the friendly cooperation between China and Mozambique.

Mr. Simao reiterated the adherence of his government to the one-China policy and thanked the Chinese government for the assistance and help China has offered to his country over the years.
