Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Holds Talks with Mozambican Deputy Foreign Minister Koloma

On September 9, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun held talks in the Foreign Ministry with visiting Mozambican Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation Eduardo Koloma, exchanging views on bilateral ties and international and regional issues of common concern.

Zhai spoke highly of China-Mozambique traditional friendship, expressing willingness to further strengthen cooperation with the Mozambican side in the fields of politics, economy, trade and humanities, as well as on international affairs.

Koloma thanked for China’s assistance to Mozambique’s economic and social development, reaffirming the Mozambican government’s adherence to the one-China policy and its support of China’s peaceful reunification. He also congratulated China on the success of the Beijing Olympics.
