The Chinese Government always attaches great importance to addressing the humanitarian concerns caused by landmines which may give rise to excessive injuries or indiscriminate effects. China values the role of the Amended Protocol II and has adopted earnest measures to strictly implement stipulations of the Protocol. In recent years, to honor its commitments undertaken at ratification concerning the Technical Annex to the Protocol, the Chinese Government and armed forces have stepped up efforts and achieved new progress, which ensures China's full compliance with relevant requirements of the Technical Annex by the end of the transition period.
