The Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty (FMCT) is conducive to preventing nuclear weapons proliferation and promoting nuclear disarmament. China supports the principle and objective of the FMCT, as well as relevant resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly. China supports the negotiation and conclusion of a multilateral, non-discriminatory and internationally and effectively verifiable treaty on banning the production of fissile material for nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices at an early date in Conference on Disarmament in Geneva.
