On November 22, 2005, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held talks with visiting Bolivian Foreign Minister Armando Loaiza.

Both sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common interest and indicated that they would like to take the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to make joint efforts in pushing for in-depth development of their mutually beneficial and friendly cooperative relations. The Bolivian side reaffirmed its resolute adherence to the one-China policy, adding that it will try to deepen and expand cooperation with China in bilateral and multi-lateral areas.
