On May 3, 2013, Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao met with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla in Havana. The two sides spoke highly of the China-Cuba traditional friendship and fruitful cooperation in various fields, and exchanged views on the development of Sino-Cuban relations, Sino-Latin American ties and bilateral topics concerning the construction of diplomatic and consular premises.

On the same day, Song held consultations with Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Ana Teresita González Fraga on diplomatic and consular premises. Both sides pledged to actively cooperate on the construction of diplomatic and consular premises.
