At the invitation of President Jiang Zemin, President Hugo Chavez Frias of the Bolivar Republic of Venezuela will pay a state visit to China from May 24 to 28. This marks the second state visit to China by President Chavez. During his visit, President Jiang and other Chinese state leaders will meet respectively with President Chavez and exchange views on bilateral relations and international issues of mutual interest. Besides Beijing, President Chavez and his entourage will also visit Chengdu.
