Zeng Qinghong Meets with Venezuelan Vice President Jose Rangel

On January 28, Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong arrived at Caracas, kicking off his formal visit to Venezuela. On the same day, Zeng Qinghong met with Venezuelan Vice President Jose Rangel. Zeng said that China-Venezuela relations develop rapidly and both countries established the strategic partnership of common development in 2001. The purpose of my visit is to further strengthen bilateral friendship, enhance mutual trust, reinforce cooperation and seek common development. We hope that both sides push for mutual exchanges, maintain the momentum of exchanges of high-level visit, deepen mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation, speed up implementation of the already existing common consensus, consolidate cooperation in multilateral fields and jointly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries. Rangel noted that Venezuela is a fiend of China and the Venezuelan people are very friendly to the Chinese people and support the development of friendship and cooperative relations with China. Venezuela will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Chin at all levels and in all fields. Venezuela said that Venezuela firmly follows the one-China policy and completely supports the Chinese government's position on the Taiwan issue, to which Zeng expressed appreciation.
