Main functions: to study and handle issues concerning treaty and law in the diplomatic work; to handle the foreign-related cases involving treaties, laws, territories, boundaries and maps; to be in charge of holding or participating in international conferences and bilateral talks on relevant treaties and laws; and to assist the relevant departments in examining home-formulated laws and regulations concerning foreign countries or nationals.
