On February 14, 2006, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui held talks with visiting Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Basta. Both sides made positive comments on the development of bilateral relations in recent years and expressed willingness to continue working hard to deepen the bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields. They also exchanged opinions on the international and regional issues of common concern. Basta stressed that the Czech Republic will continue following the spirit of the joint declaration signed by the Chinese premier and his Czech counterpart and actively push forward and strengthen the bilateral ties.
