I. On February 4, 2003, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was renamed as Serbia and Montenegro. On February 8, the Chinese Foreign Ministry informed Serbia and Montenegro that the Chinese embassy and ambassador to Yugoslavia were named as the Chinese embassy and ambassador to Serbia and Montenegro from the right day and confirmed that bilateral treaties and agreements will continue to be in effect and various rights and obligations enjoyed and undertaken by the two sides will not be changed.
II. From April 17 to 21, 2003, at the invitation of Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, Serbia and ontenegro Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic paid a visit to China. Vice Chairman Zeng Qinghong, State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan and Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing respectively met and held talks with him. In addition to a visit in Beijing, the delegation also paid a visit to Shanghai.
