On July 27, 2011, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhang Kunsheng appeared in the Norwegian embassy in China to express condolences to the victims of Norway's July 22 violent attacks.

Zhang said that China condemns the violent attacks. The Chinese government and people feel deep grief for the victims and would like to extend sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and the Norwegian people.
