The two sides exchanged in-depth views mainly on the current international situation, China-Britain and China-EU ties, as well as international and regional issues of common concern, agreeing to continue to consolidate bilateral relations, keep high-level visits, deepen mutually-beneficial cooperation in key areas, and strengthen coordination in major international affairs, so as to push ahead China-Britain comprehensive strategic partnership.
The first round of strategic dialogue between China and Britain was held in London in December of 2005.
