Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing Talks Over Phone with His British Counterpart

On the evening of May 31, 2004, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held a phone conversation with his British counterpart Jack Straw upon request, and exchanged views with the latter mainly on the UN Security Council draft resolution on Iraq. The two sides indicated that their permanent representatives to the UN would continue to communicate and consult with each other with regard to this matter. The two foreign ministers agreed to continue their joint efforts to further enhance bilateral relations between China and the UK.
