On April 1, 2009, Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in London, capital of Britain, to attend the Group of 20 (G20) summit scheduled for April 2. At about 11: 40 local time, President Hu’s special plane arrived at London Gatwick Airport, where he was warmly welcomed by British former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott, who is the special envoy of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Hu’s entourage including Wang Qishan, Ling Jihua, Wang Huning and Dai Bingguo arrived by the same plane. Chinese Ambassador to the UK Fu Ying also greeted Hu and his delegation at the airport. It is the second time for President Hu Jintao to attend the G20 summit after last November's meeting in Washington. At the London summit, the leaders will focus on such topics as enhancing the coordination of macroeconomic policies, pushing for necessary reforms in the world financial system, and stabilizing global financial market.
