2007/09/03

On September 3, 2007, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun and visiting Secretary General of Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Omar Hilale held political consultation between the two Foreign Ministries.

Zhai spoke highly of bilateral friendly ties and appreciated Morocco's long-standing adherence to the one-China policy. He said China cherishes its traditional friendship and cooperation with Morocco and is ready to further strengthen bilateral cooperation on politics, economy, trade and multilateral affairs.

Hilale said Morocco is satisfied with the rapid development of bilateral ties, adding that to continue this relationship is a strategic decision of the Moroccan side. The Moroccan government will continue adherence to the one-China policy and firmly support China's reunification cause, he said.

Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
