A: The Chinese Government expresses its regret and displeasure to the visit to Taiwan by Mr.Lee Kuan Yew and other prominent political figures. We are always opposed to any exchange of official nature between Taiwan and nations that have established diplomatic ties with China. We demand that the Singaporean side honor its words, observe the one China policy and refrain from doing anything that might undermine the relations between the two countries.
