China Reiterates Principled Position on the Situation on the Korean Peninsula

On the morning of October 4, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing held a phone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Ban Ki-Moon, exchanging views on the situation on the Korean peninsula. Li reiterated the Chinese government's principled position on the issue. On the same day, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai exchanged views with David Sedney, charge-de-affaires of the U.S. embassy in Beijing also on the issue in the office building of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
