On December 10, 2009, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi at request held a telephone conversation with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Both sides made positive comments on the fruitful results made in the development of bilateral ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations 25 years ago, agreeing to take this opportunity to jointly push forward bilateral friendly cooperative relations in all areas.
