On December 23, 2010, Chinese President Hu Jintao announced the appointment of the following new ambassadors in accordance with a decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

Yi Xiaozhun was appointed permanent representative and ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and deputy permanent representative of the Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other International Organizations in Switzerland, replacing Sun Zhenyu.

Li Junhua was appointed ambassador to Myanmar, replacing Ye Dabo.
