On August 27, Chinese Vive Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui met with a delegation headed by Co-President of the Green Group in the European Parliament Monica Frassoni, which is visiting China at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee. Zhang briefed the guests on the policy measures adopted by the Chinese government on coping with climate change, as well as China's principled positions on issues related to the Sudanese region of Darfur, Kosovo and national defense construction. The European side said China is an important member of the international community and the Green Group in the European Parliament is ready to strengthen exchanges with China to build mutual understanding between both sides.
