On October 17, 2007, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Li Jinzhang met with Rafael Paredes, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Integration from Ecuador. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on bilateral ties, as well as other issues of common concern in a friendly atmosphere. Paredes reaffirmed that Ecuador will continue adherence to the one-China policy.
