On October 30, 2007, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister He Yafei met with a delegation of Mongolian young diplomats headed by the deputy director of the neighboring countries department of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He made positive comments on the development of China-Mongolia ties, expressing belief that the exchanges of visits between young diplomats of the two countries will help build up mutual understanding and friendship and deepen communication and cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries.

The Mongolian side noted that the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to strengthen exchanges with the Chinese Foreign Ministry in an effort to push for bilateral friendly cooperation.

This visit by young diplomats is the first of its kind conducted between the two Foreign Ministries. Besides Beijing, the delegation will also visit Shenzhen and Hangzhou.
