Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Pays a Successful Visit to Djibouti

From January 27 to 28, 2008, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun headed a delegation to pay a working visit to Djibouti.

During the visit, Zhai met with Djibouti's President Ismail Omar Guelleh, held friendly talks with Foreign Minister Mahamoud Ali Youssouf and signed an agreement on economic and technological cooperation between the two governments. Yang also called on the staff of the Chinese Embassy in Djibouti.

The Djibouti side made positive comments on Zhai's visit, holding that it further deepened the traditional friendship between the two governments and peoples and would play an important promoting role in the long-term development of bilateral ties.
