On the evening of March 25, 2008, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held telephone conversation with his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Both leaders exchanged opinions on China-Germany relations and other issues of common interest. Yang introduced the truth of Lhasa violent crime and disclosed the splittist nature of Dalai clique. He said that so far more than 100 countries had expressed support for the legal measures taken by China to maintain social stability, safeguard dignity of law and protect the fundamental interest of people of all nationalities in Tibet, which fully reflects the international community stands on the side of truth and justice. Related Chinese departments are making preparations for foreign journalists to make interviews in Tibet, which he believes will be helpful to the media to have an objective understanding of the event.
