On May 21, 2008, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Yesui met in the Foreign Ministry with Canadian Minister of International Trade David Emerson, who is visiting China at the invitation of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Both sides exchanged views on bilateral ties and other issues.
