On May 29, 2008, Assistant Foreign Minister He Yafei accepted an exclusive interview with Margaret Warner, a journalist from the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, a TV column of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and answered questions concerning China's earthquake rescue and relief operations, China's diplomatic thinking, China-U.S. relations, China-Japan relations, talks between officials of the central government and representatives of the Dalai Lama, human rights and the execution of the Regulations on Reporting Activities in China by Foreign Journalists during the Beijing Olympic Games and the Preparatory Period.
