On October 12, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai met with the Japanese delegation of the 2011 "China-Japan Little Ambassadors". Cui said in his speech that the future of China-Japan relations lies in the youth of both countries. He hopes the "little ambassadors" fully experience China, make friends with sincerity and serve as real friendly messengers so as to pass on China-Japan friendship from generation to generation. The "little ambassadors" said that they have deeply felt the friendly feelings of the Chinese people and will join hands with their Chinese peers to build the bridge of China-Japan friendship. In May 2009, the Beijing Municipal Government and the Japanese AEON group launched the exchange program of "China-Japan Little Ambassadors". The two sides arrange a one-week mutual visit of 40 senior middle high school students each year. The Chinese delegation of "China-Japan Little Ambassadors" visited Japan in July this year.
