Li Keqiang Visits Kim Il Sung University

On October 24, 2011, Li Keqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council who was paying an official goodwill visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) visited Kim Il Sung University in Pyongyang. President of the university and DPRK Higher Education Minister Song Ja Rip as well as officials of the DPRK foreign ministry accompanied Li in the visit.

Li listened to a Chinese course and held cordial talks with teachers and students there. He said that the traditional friendship between China and DPRK needs to be carried forward by youth of both countries. The future of bilateral relations also depends on them. He encouraged the students to work hard to prepare for their future career, develop the bridge of cooperation between the two countries and serve as the friendship ambassadors.

Li also visited the electronic library of the university and donated Chinese books, audio and video products and video teaching equipments.
