On January 16, 2012, President Hu Jintao received credentials presented by six new ambassadors from Peru, Monaco, Somalia, Gabon, Niger and Thailand at the Great Hall of the People.

The six ambassadors are Gonzalo Gutierrez from Peru, Catherine Fautrier from Monaco, Yusuf Hassan Ibrahim from Somalia, Jean-Robert Goulongana from Gabon, Dambina Bawa from Niger and Wiboon Khusakul from Thailand.
