On April 10, 2012, Vice Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping, at request, met with Byacheslav Nagovitsin, President of the Republic of Buryatia of the Russian Federation who headed a delegation to hold business investment presentation in China. The two sides spoke highly of the development of China-Russia relations and the achievements of bilateral cooperation at local levels. They believe that the neighboring regions of the two countries enjoy a vast potential of cooperation and expect to make joint efforts to strengthen the friendly and cooperative relations between China and the Republic of Buryatia.
