On April 23, 2012, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhang Kunsheng met with former President of Chile Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle, who is heading a Senate delegation on a visit to China at the invitation of Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA). Both sides exchanged views on China-Chile relations, exchanges and cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries as well as international and regional issues of common concern.
