Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Liu Jianchao announces:

The Inaugural Annual Meeting of the New Champions -- from Davos to Dalian (Summer Davos Forum in brief) hosted by the World Economic Forum will be held in Dalian from September 6 to 8. Premier Wen Jiabao will attend and address the opening ceremony.

The meeting, with the theme of the Shifting Power Equation, will discuss major issues including the shifting global business environment, China's economic development, and how enterprises take part in globalization. More than 1,500 representatives from circles of politics, business, academy and press of 80 countries and regions around the world will be present at the session.
