Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Liu Weimin announces:

At the invitation of Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Foreign Minister Shanmugam of the Republic of Singapore will pay an official visit to China from February 9 to 11.

This is Shanmugam's first visit to China as Foreign Minister. During his visit, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi will hold talks with him. Chinese leaders and officials of relevant departments will meet with him and his delegation. China stands ready to work together with the Singaporean side to push for the sustained, sound and stable development of China-Singapore good-neighborly and friendly relations of cooperation.
