A massive train explosion took place in Ryongchon of North Pyongan Province in DPRK on April 22nd, resulting in heavy casualties and property loss. Chinese Communist Party and the Chinese Government are deeply concerned over the accident. After the accident, General-Secretary of the Central Committee of CPC, and President Hu Jintao immediately sent a message of condolences to the DPRK leader Kim Jong Il to express the deep sympathy of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese Government and the Chinese people. We expressed our deep condolences to the victims of the explosion. The Chinese Government has decided to provide argent assistance to the DPRK side. And the Chinese departments concerned have made preparations for necessary treatment of the injured and other assistance.
